One of the worst pains that you have to deal with in life is toothaches. Toothaches have a way of starting from the tooth and going to other parts of the body, making you feel crummy and irritable. In order to avoid toothaches from ruining your day, you need to know about the toothache remedies.Toothaches stem from many causes. You can experience pain or soreness around a tooth or the jaw because of infection, inflammation or trauma. Basically, toothaches occur when there’s tooth decay. Tooth problems and pain can also occur when you have a cracked tooth, gum disease, impacted tooth, temporomandibular joint disease or, simply, something is caught between your teeth.
The main remedies for toothache then start with checking to see if something is stuck between your teeth. If nothing is stuck there and pain still persists, you can go for toothache pain remedies which are natural or clinical. You can either take pain medications or use natural products to experience pain relief.
When it comes to the natural toothache remedies, there are many to choose from. You can start by brushing your teeth. After you brush, you can also massage your gums. If you have swollen gums and cheeks as a result of your toothache, you can also apply cold compress on your cheek. You can also gargle with a cup of warm water that has a tablespoon of salt dissolved in it. Salt acts as one of the best remedies for toothaches in that it acts as a powerful astringent. It disinfects your mouth and teeth.
Garlic is also a good toothache remedy. When you have cavity in your teeth, you just peel and crush a clove of fresh garlic and place it on the cavity of your tooth. You can also mix the garlic with peanut butter to make it easier to stick on your tooth. You can also go for cloves as one of the remedies for a toothache. All you have to do is chew the cloves or rub clove oil on the tooth that’s aching. You can repeat this remedy two or three times and not more because clove oil can also damage your teeth.
Gargling with mouthwash is another one of the natural remedies for toothache. You can also pound peppermint or Herba Buena leaves and place it on the tooth that’s giving you pain. These are the major toothache remedies. For a complete list of effective remedies, I suggest trying the methods outlined in the 12 Hour Toothache Cure. This is one of my favorite ways to get rid of and prevent any toothache, naturally.
